Why did you choose Health Science as your major? “I want to be able to help people when it comes to their health or just educating others of what we can do to be healthier.”

Why did you choose WVSU? “I started at WVSU back in 2002 and enjoyed it and I had kids and had to basically take off until I was able to get in a position that I can go back to school. I came back around 2020.”

What is the best part of WVSU, in your opinion? “It’s the people. Even when I started in 2002, I loved it because we all just had fun and everyone got along and made you feel welcome.”

What do you like to do in your free time? “I like to work out at Orangetheory Fitness. I like to craft and do a lot of crafting. I also enjoy playing The Sims.”

Favorite class you have taken at State? “Even though it was hard, Environmental Biology, and second would be my Horror and Fantasy film class.”

What would be playing if you started your car right now? “Patti LaBelle.”

What would you tell a friend about the program you are in at WVSU? “It’s a good program. You’re able to learn different things. The professors have been there for me. If I have a question, they are able to answer that question for me.”

Favorite professor or staff member? “My advisor, Lindsey Good.”

Do you have any advice for others who may be interested in your major or going back to school? “Do it. You won’t regret it. It’s going to be hard, but you just have to push through. If this is something you want and you know that you want to achieve or want to get that education or just want to be a part of something, just come here. If you can’t do that, do it online.”
