West Virginia State University listens.  Do you have feedback to share, a positive interaction, concern, or complaint to voice? Your experience is very important.  We welcome and encourage feedback of all types: concerns, complaints, or exceptionally positive feedback. The representatives of West Virginia State University strive to provide positive experiences and helpful services. Even so, it is understandable that complaints will arise from time to time. Your feedback is reviewed to address your concern or complaint appropriately. If you have a concern or complaint, the best first step is to discuss it directly with the individual or departments involved. The members of the University adhere to policies and administrative procedures for student success and institutional effectiveness. The information below serves as a guide for finding a resolution to concerns or complaints, and to applaud a complimentary experience.
 
Emergency concerns regarding health or safety should be reported immediately to the University Police Department at

Students may direct their complaint to the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Support https://www.wvstateu.edu/current-students/student-complaint.aspx.
 
The Director of Counseling and Academic Support Services serves as an Ombudsman and student advocate for students who wish to report biased-motivated incidents or practices https://www.wvstateu.edu/current-students/counseling-and-accessibility-services/ombudsperson-services.aspx.
 
Employee complaints may be directed to the Office of Human Resources using this form Employee-Internal-Complaint.
 
Title IX and EEO can be addressed to the Title IX and EEO Compliance Officer at https://www.wvstateu.edu/about/title-ix.aspx.
 
If you are unsure what department or office to contact or would like more guidance, complete this form. Your concern will be routed through university processes and resources for resolution. You have the option of submitting your feedback or concern through this online system, or mailed to the Office of the President, attention Chief of Staff, 103 Ferrell Hall. Confidentiality will be subject to the nature of your complaint. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response and follow up to your submission.
 
It is our aim to resolve complaints at the campus level. However, after following the University procedures, if you need more assistance, complaints may be filed as a Grievance through the West Virginia Public Employees Grievance Board (https://pegb.wv.gov/Pages/default.aspx).
