If you will or believe you will be completing degree requirements at the end of the Spring 24 term, you are required to apply for graduation to receive a degree.
You must apply for Spring 24 Graduation in the term PRIOR (see dates below), per new policies and as noted in the University Catalog and Academic Calendars.
If you previously applied but did not complete requirements, you must re-apply.
The SPRING 2024 Graduation Application is reopened from Monday November 27th until Friday, December 1st, 2023, for any last minute chances to graduate in May.

All Graduates & Undergraduates will be charged an application fee.
- Fees will not be assessed to students re-applying from a previously denied application.

**Important Notes**
- The graduation application is not located in MyState.
- MyState will not update application status.
- Please do not refer to MyState for Application information.
- Everything you need is in this website!
Those seeking Licensure, or Certificates, should carefully select the non-degree program certification sought.
*Non-degree program applicants will not receive the additional Ceremony or Regalia information, but will still receive an official certificate of completion.
- Transcripts ordered will also document the verified completed program once awarded.

Q: HOW DO I APPLY FOR GRADUATION?
- Students who will, or believe they will complete all degree requirements at the end of the next term should apply now.
- Click the Graduation Application box below, read the information displayed on the page

Q: I have completed the application, what now?
- Fees will be applied after the application closes and must be paid prior to receiving transcripts or diplomas.
- Once the application has closed, all applicants will have a preliminary evaluation
- Registrar will consult and coordinate with each department.
- IF any action is required by the student, you will be notified immediately via your WVSU email
- Be sure to settle all institution obligations and requirements to your degree completion.
- Continue to monitor this site for more announcements on Graduation and Ceremony details as they are available.
- Take a deep breathe, exhale slowly. You are almost there!
- At the end of this term, after final grades are posted, a final review will be completed of all applicants for degree completion.
Q: I don't have regalia
- All students that applied prior to deadlines received and email with a link to order. Contact Office of the Registrar for questions prior to order deadlines.
- After deadlines for online orders, students will have an opportunity to pick up extra Regalia pieces from the Bookstore, see Regalia page under Ceremony box below for more details
Q: When Will I receive my diploma?
Details can be found in the Application box below.
- After final grades have been posted, final reviews will be completed and awards will be certified.
- Transcripts are available immediately upon awarding of the credential.
- Once all final audits have been reviewed, Diplomas will be ordered for students that have settled all requirements included balances and applicable exit counseling for those with Financial aid.
