Dr. Derek Taylor

Derek Taylor is a History Instructor and History Program Coordinator at the College of Business & Social Sciences. Dr. Taylor's primary areas of expertise include the history of Early Modern Britain and Europe, Political History, History of the Protestant and Catholic Reformations, and World History. A 2014 graduate of West Virginia State University with bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, he received his M.A. (2016) from Marshall University and his Ph.D. (2021) in History from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Taylor teaches a variety of courses at WVSU, including courses on the History of Britain, Europe, the United States, and Women's History.
