Gregory  Elam

Adjunct Professor Elam is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at the College of Business and Social Sciences at West Virginia State University. His credentials include: Bachelor of Arts in Management, Master of Science in Safety Management, Graduate Certification in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination, Associate Professional in Insurance Regulation, and Juris Doctorate.  His experience in the public sector and tax spans over twenty years with publicly held entities in both an administrative capacity and consulting capacity. This includes insurance company solvency, taxation, and other regulatory matters. During his time in higher education, he has held the position of Adjunct Faculty member.
Professor Elam has taught a variety of courses: Principles of Financial Accounting, Business Taxation, Personal Income Taxation, and Business Law.
Professor Elam is also a graduate of the West Virginia State Police Academy, law enforcement experience and appointed as special prosecutor for insurance fraud cases.
