ACHIEVE News

In light of the current situation surrounding COVID-19, we have put together the most useful features that faculty/staff may want to employ as a means to further support and engage their students during this period of remote instruction.   


 


Bulk Messaging

Send an email to all of your students in a particular course by using the bulk messaging feature. 

1. Go to MyState and select the Faculty Services tab. Click the ACHIEVE logo to log in.

2. Go to the hamburger menu and select the arrow to the right of Students.

3. Select My Students.

4. Select Connection to display the role you have with students. 
  • All my Students: Shows a combined list of advisees, students from your courses.
  • Academic Advisor: Generates a list of your advisees
  • Instructor: Shows a combined list of all your students from all of your courses for the current term
  • Individual Course Name: Displays course roster for individual course.
5. Select the Course Name for which you want to email students.

6. Select all of the students for the course by clicking the box to the left of Name

7. Select Message at the top of the screen. 

8. Write your email and select Submit.

 


Bulk To-Do

Send out tasks with due dates to keep your students on track. 

1. Go to MyState and select the Faculty Services tab. Click the ACHIEVE logo to log in.

2. Go to the hamburger menu and select the arrow to the right of Students.

3. Select My Students.

4. Select Connection to display the role you have with students. 
  • All my Students: Shows a combined list of advisees, students from your courses.
  • Academic Advisor: Generates a list of your advisees
  • Instructor: Shows a combined list of all your students from all of your courses for the current term
  • Individual Course Name: Displays course roster for individual course.
5. Select the Course Name for which you want to send a to-do.

6. Select all of the students for the course by clicking the box to the left of Name.

7. Select To Do at the top of the screen. 

8. Choose a to-do item from the drop down menu.

9. Select a due date for when the task should be completed.

10. Add additional comments.

11. Select Save.

(Please note that you will see the name 'Starfish' when following the link above. We have rebranded this tool on our campus to ACHIEVE.) 
 


Raise a Flag

Raise a flag to alert the Office of Retention and Student Success to make outreach to the student.  

1. Go to MyState and select the Faculty Services tab. Click the ACHIEVE logo to log in.

2. Go to the hamburger menu and select the arrow to the right of Students.

3. Select My Students.

4. Select Connection to display the role you have with students. 
  • All my Students: Shows a combined list of advisees, students from your courses.
  • Academic Advisor: Generates a list of your advisees
  • Instructor: Shows a combined list of all your students from all of your courses for the current term
  • Individual Course Name: Displays course roster for individual course.
5. Select the Course Name to display the list of students in a particular course.

6. Select the student on whom you want to raise a flag by clicking the box to the left of his or her name. 

7. Select Flag at the top of the page.

8. Choose which flag you would like to raise from the drop down menu. 

9. Select Course Context to include the course that the flag pertains to. 

10. Add additional comments that you would like for the Retention Specilist to address with the student.

11. Select Save
