West Virginia State University (WVSU) will conduct its sixth annual Cares Day on Saturday, April 21, when hundreds of volunteers fan out to perform service work at sites throughout Kanawha and Putnam counties.
The day-long event brings together WVSU students, faculty, staff and alumni who will perform volunteer work on a variety of projects in support of area residents. In 2017, more than 300 students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends participated in Cares Day, contributing more than 1,300 hours of service at more than 30 sites in Kanawha and Putnam counties.
