West Virginia State University to Host Women’s History Month Panel Discussion
 
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host a Women’s History Month panel discussion on the topic of “The Evolving Roles of Females in Appalachia.”

The panel discussion will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Fannin S. Belcher Theatre of the Davis Fine Arts Building. The event is free and open to the public. 

Featured panelists will include:

• Shanté Ellis, educator, trainer, and facilitator Racial Equity and Inclusion Director, YWCA Charleston;
• Crystal Good, writer-poet, producer, and founder of Black By God The West Virginian;
• Rosemary Ketchum, Wheeling Councilwoman and West Virginia Nonprofit Association Executive Director;
• Morgan Morrison, co-owner Rock City Cake Company and vice president Downtown Charleston Association;
• Morgan Robinson, owner and chief marketing officer, Focus Marketing Co.; and
• Courtney Williams, medical manager, business owner and candidate for Mayor of Dunbar.
