West Virginia State University to Host Annual Career and Employment Expo April 4
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host its annual Career and Employment Expo on Thursday, April 4, in the James C. Wilson Student Union.
The expo is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to all job seekers including WVSU students, alumni, and the general public.
More than 50 organizations representing a broad spectrum of career fields including government, finance, human services, law enforcement, communications, technology, sales/marketing, retail/merchandising, operations and health care are expected to participate. Recruiters are seeking applications for full-time, part-time, and internship positions.
In addition, several colleges are also participating with information about their graduate programs.
“This is a great opportunity for students to explore career opportunities whether they are looking for part time, full time or internships,” said Renee Lester, executive director of career services at WVSU. “This is also an opportunity for students to enhance their networking skills. We will have several colleges attend the Expo to promote graduate programs so any student who wishes to further their education beyond a bachelor's degree is encouraged to attend to explore graduate programs available from WVSU and surrounding areas.”
