West Virginia State University to Host FAFSA Workshop on Feb. 1
 
INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- West Virginia State University (WVSU) will be hosting a free workshop on Thursday, Feb. 1, for students and families on filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Drain-Jordan Library (building No. 4 on the campus map found here) and is being conducted as part of FAFSA Day events throughout West Virginia. 

Any student wanting to receive federal, state and institutional financial aid towards their degree should attend this free workshop. Those planning to attend are asked to bring their 2022 federal tax information with them. The workshop is open to any students, not just those planning to attend WVSU.

Students planning to pursue a postsecondary education in the fall of 2024 should try to
complete the FAFSA before May 1 to be considered for the West Virginia Higher Education Grant.

To be considered for the Promise Scholarship, students must submit the FAFSA and the Promise application before May 1.
