WVSU Offices Observe Summer Hours

Beginning Monday, May 15, 2023, through Friday, August 11, 2023, West Virginia State University offices will observe a summer hours schedule of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additionally, the university will follow a summer dress code of business casual attire. Examples of appropriate business casual attire include crewneck shirts, golf/polo shirts, casual slacks, jeans without holes, dress sandals, and clean athletic shoes. Summer business casual attire must be in good taste and positively reflect the University’s image. Business casual attire does NOT include leggings, yoga pants, sweat pants, shorts, tank tops, cropped tops, shirts with offensive images, words or logos, pajamas or flip-flops.

Supervisors are responsible for determining whether an employee is appropriately dressed for their work environment/position duties. Employees should assume that meetings with the public, community and/or in formal settings will require normal business attire. Questions concerning appropriateness of an employee’s attire should be directed to the Office of Human Resources.
