West Virginia State University Vice President for Enrollment Management
Named to Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences Board of Directors
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Dr. Yvette Underdue Murph has been named to the Board of Directors of the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia.
Underdue Murph began her term on the board July 1, 2019.
“I am excited to join the Board of Directors of the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences as it is one of the premiere arts organizations in the state of West Virginia,” said Underdue Murph. “I look forward to opportunity to actively contribute and share my perspective with fellow Board members to continue to make the Clay Center a destination experience for our state and region.”
Underdue Murph has served as vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at WVSU since 2017. In her role she leads and engages the university community in efforts to implement an integrated data-driven informed decision making model to enhance enrollment and retention initiatives and, she also steers a focused strategy to build and sustain a culture of co-curricular assessment for her division.
The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia opened on July 12, 2003. The Center, a 240,000-square-foot structure, houses performing arts, visual arts and sciences under one roof – one of the few of its kind in the country. Located in the state’s capital city of Charleston, the facility is home to the Clay Center’s Avampato Discovery Museum, the Juliet Art Museum and the Maier Foundation Performance Hall, home of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
