WVSU Graduate and Professional Students Association Sponsor Leadership Conference
 
INSTITUTE, W.Va.The West Virginia State University (WVSU) Graduate and Professional Students Association is sponsoring a leadership conference on Friday, March 8, in the Dr. Anne Brothers Smith Conference Room of Keith Scholars Hall on the University’s Institute campus.

The theme of the conference is “21st Century Impact Leader, making a difference” and will feature presentations from a variety of business professionals including:
  • Anne Barth, executive director of TechConnect of West Virginia;
  • Dr. Mickey Blackwell, coordinator for Graduate Programs and assistant professor of education at WVSU;
  • Lisa Moten, director of the Erma Byrd Higher Education Center and Allied Health Wing; and
  • B.J. Roberts, speaker and author of the bestselling book “Recharge.”
WVSU President Anthony L. Jenkins will provide a welcome message to open the conference.

The leadership conference is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Early registration, before March 2, is $5. Afterwards it will be $10. Onsite registration will also be available and lunch is included.
