West Virginia State University to Host Annual Open House March 2
 
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host its annual Yellow Jacket Open House on Saturday, March 2, 2019, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Wilson University Union.

“Our annual Yellow Jacket Open House is a perfect opportunity for prospective students and their families to visit West Virginia State University and explore our unique academic programs, engage with faculty and students, and become familiar with our student life and engagement activities,” said Jameelah Means, director of Undergraduate Admissions.

During the event, prospective students and their families will hear a panel of current students and alumni speak about their experiences at WVSU and share why it all “Starts at State.”

The program will feature presentations about the admissions process and requirements, financial aid and scholarship options, and student life and engagement activities. Throughout the day the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will offer onsite admissions decisions for freshman and transfer students that would like to enroll at WVSU for the fall 2019 semester.

Also during the open house, Yellow Jacket Student Ambassadors will provide guided walking tours of campus.
All Open House participants will receive free tickets to attend the March 2 WVSU vs. University of Charleston basketball game.  The Yellow Jacket women’s game will tip-off at 2 p.m. and the Yellow Jacket men at 4 p.m. in the Walker Convocation Center.
