West Virginia State University Convocation Focuses on Technology, Intelligence and Public Safety

INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- The West Virginia State University (WVSU) College of Professional Studies will host its fall convocation Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Wilson University, featuring security expert Michael T. Cagle.

With 23 years of experience in law enforcement, counter intelligence and executive protection with the U.S. Air Force, Cagle will be speaking on the topic of “Technology, Intelligence and Public Safety.”

The event is free and open to the public.

Cagle is a California native who graduated with honors from Wayland Baptist University with a degree in criminal justice administration. His decorated units have supported United States military missions worldwide. As a member of a joint task force in 2008, his collaboration with the Central Criminal Court of Iraqi contributed to the reduction of violence paving the way for diplomatic negotiations.

He authored the use of force policy and directed the tactics, techniques and procedures for the deployment of the U.S. Air Force’s counter unmanned aircraft systems in the National Capital Region.
