West Virginia State University 4-H to Offer Free Spanish Class for Youths in Grades 6-10
 
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University’s (WVSU) 4-H program will offer an Introduction to Spanish course for youths in grades 6-10 beginning Friday, Oct. 19, on the University’s Institute campus.

The course will meet weekly and cover the basics of Spanish with lectures and interactive activities focusing on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

“It is never too early to learn a second language,” said course instructor Ana Karen Gatica Toledo, WVSU Extension Service’s Spanish language interpreter. “We are excited to offer this new learning opportunity for youths in the Kanawha Valley.”

Primarily targeting home-school students, the course is open to anyone within the grades 6-10 age range. Courses will be taught Fridays from Oct. 19 to Dec. 7 from noon to 2 p.m. in Room 103 of WVSU’s Davis Fine Arts Building.
