WVSU Extension Service to Host Free Fall Gardening Workshop Aug. 17
 
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service is hosting a free workshop to help gardeners prepare for the fall season beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the Charleston Veterans Affairs (VA) Outpatient Clinic.

The workshop will cover planning a fall garden with WVSU Extension Agent Caroline Copenhaver leading discussions on layout, growing, climate considerations, season extension and harvesting.

“This workshop is designed for current or aspiring farmers or gardeners, or anyone interested in learning more about fall gardening,” Copenhaver said.

The workshop is made possible by funding from the USDA 2501 Grant Program.

The Charleston VA Outpatient Clinic is located at 700 Technology Drive, South Charleston, W.Va.
