How to Up Your "Video" Game: General Video Rules
Video Transcript[Instructor] Important things to remember, practice the right way. Practicing taking videos the right way makes perfect. Plan out what you're going to say before you start recording your video.
It always helps to write a detailed script so that you will convey your exact message within your video. If you aren't a very good writer, that's okay. Write some simple bullet points, anything, just don't wing it.
No dead air. Try your utmost not to freeze, pause for longer than a few seconds or anything like that if you can help it. Remember, you can do as many takes as you need. That's the beauty of digital video and if there's some dead air in your video, that's okay. You can cut it out.
Use cue cards or a teleprompter. You can write what you want to say in your video and tape those notes all around the camera as a reference. Teleprompter is another alternative, though fairly costly. There are all kinds of teleprompter packages out there.
Have something to drink just off camera so you can take a sip when needed. Audio, audio, audio. Audio is just important as video, maybe just a little more important
