INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- The West Virginia State University women’s tennis team will showcase the talent that made it the champion of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) during a special match against Radford University to be played Sunday, March 3, at 1 p.m. at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 15-0 fall season that included winning both the WVIAC regular season and tournament titles. Junior Andreea Slusarciuc along with freshmen Brittany Franco and Diana Cotoros were named to the WVIAC All-Conference team, while Franco was also honored as the conference’s Freshman of the Year.
The women’s tennis team is currently ranked 36th in the nation in NCAA Division II.

Radford is a NCAA Division I school and a member of the Big South Conference. The Highlanders finished last season with a 17-7 record.
