Amy Trent Named to "40 Under 40"

WVSU Faculty Member Named
to State Journal's "40 Under 40"

Amy Trent, West Virginia State University Media Specialist, has been named to the State Journal's "Generation Next 40 Under 40". The purpose of the designation is to shine a spotlight on young professionals making a difference in West Virginia. The State Journal accepts nominations of business and community leaders younger than age 40.

As Media Specialist Amy Trent, teaches film production classes at WVSU and previously produced a television show for PBS,  "Campus Connection" ,and a weekly television show for Suddenlink, "Coach’s Corner."

Ms. Trent is an award-winning producer, director and animator. Along with serving as producer for 5 films in production, she just finished her third documentary, "The Lives of Dancers." Amy is currently completing her MFA in Film Production at FullSail University in Orlando Florida, where she will graduate in March 2012

In her spare time Amy teaches for Saint Albans Studio of Dance. Her dance team has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for three years straight. She also teaches at various camps in the area; Charleston Stage Company and conducts Kanawha County Public Library film workshops.
