Agriculture collection to be dedicated at the West Virginia State University Drain-Jordan Library

West Virginia State University’s Gus R. Douglass Institute (GRDI) will hold a dedication and unveiling of the esteemed Agriculture Collection of Commissioner Gus R. Douglass. Commissioner Douglass was instrumental in helping WVSU regain its land grant status. The WVSU Gus R. Douglass Institute which encompasses the university’s Extension Service, the NASA CASTEM (Center for Advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and the Agricultural and Environmental Research Station, is named in recognition and honor of Commissioner Gus R. Douglass and his service to the state of West Virginia.

Please join us as we honor the United States’ longest serving Agricultural Commissioner and his Agricultural Collection as it is unveiled at the WVSU Drain-Jordan Library on Wednesday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. An open house and reception will immediately follow the dedication.
