Fall Classes Begin Aug 22

The fall semester marks the first time that the master’s degree in law enforcement administration will be offered.  The degree, which is WVSU’s newest master’s, is geared toward those in the criminal justice field who want to advance their career. 

Fall semester will also see the first group of students who qualify for the University’s new Opportunity Scholarship.  The Opportunity Scholarship is designed for West Virginia high school students who meet the University’s eligibility requirements, but did not receive the Promise Scholarship or other tuition assistance from WVSU. Students who qualify are eligible to receive $1,000.00 per semester for four years, or approximately one-third the cost of WVSU in-state tuition,

The West Virginia State University is made up of four academic colleges.  Students can select from 79 areas of study leading to either a bachelor's or master's degree. The 120-year-old institution boasts of an outstanding record of continuous accreditation through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as well as specialized program accreditations.
