Tree Planting and "Take Back the Night" Events on April 22

Between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The WVSU chapter of the Student Environmental Council (SEAC) will be planting trees on the campus in celebration of Earth Day. The chapter is part of a national network of organizations whose aim is to uproot environmental injustices through education and action. The group recently began a recycling program on the campus.

"Take Back the Night" will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Student Plaza. The purpose is to raise awareness of the seriousness of sexual violence. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
