West Virginia State University (WVSU) has been awarded more than $3 million in grants from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture for agricultural research projects through the 1890 Capacity Building Grants program, it was announced today.

West Virginia State University offices will be closed on Friday, May 24. Campus offices will also be closed on Monday, May 27, for the Memorial Day Holiday. The university will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 28.

The Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund for Health has awarded a $305,000 grant for the establishment of a new nursing scholarship program at West Virginia State University (WVSU).
