CHARLESTON, W.Va.— The West Virginia State University (WVSU) Economic Development Center (EDC) will host a “Fall Into the EDC” open house event on Wednesday, October 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event is an opportunity for entrepreneurs, creatives, small business owners and community members to experience firsthand the EDC’s vibrant and collaborative environment. Visitors will have the chance to tour co-working spaces, private offices, conference rooms and state-of-the-art media production studios.
“We want the community to rediscover everything we offer to small businesses, entrepreneurs and those in the digital arts,” said WVSU EDC Director Shanté Ellis. “We want the EDC to be top of mind—a place where ideas grow, creativity thrives and opportunities for collaboration and success begin.”
An initiative of WVSU Extension Service, the EDC is dedicated to fostering innovation and growth by providing affordable workspaces, business incubator and accelerator programs, professional workshops and training sessions, and support for digital artists and creative professionals.
Attendees can also learn about the EDC’s networking events and mentorship opportunities, designed to help individuals connect with fellow innovators and take their ideas to the next level. Whether seeking a space to grow a business, develop a craft or join a dynamic community, the EDC offers the resources and support needed to succeed.
The WVSU EDC is located at 1506 Kanawha Boulevard West in Charleston. For more information, contact Shanté Ellis at edc@wvstateu.edu or visit wvsuedc.org.
