Jeff Pietruszynski holds a Doctorate in English Studies from Illinois State University and is an Associate Professor of English at West Virginia State University. In his current position, he is the appointed the Coordinator of General Education and Director of the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching. His research interests include pedagogical investigation and role of English Studies in higher education. Although his specialization is in Early Modern Literature (From Spenser to Milton), he also spends time working to advance the study of writing and composition in both first-year and major specific curriculum.
