The spring season of the West Virginia State University Economic Development
Center’s (WVSU EDC) Creators Program includes a series of talks targeting authors,
sports fans, musicians and visual storytellers. The free sessions will take place throughout
the
coming months at the WVSU EDC in Charleston, beginning Feb. 19.

West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will host a workshop series on
sustainable production management through spatial analysis beginning Feb. 25. The series
includes five in-person sessions on the WVSU campus and self-paced online learning.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The State Capitol building will be swarmed by hundreds of
Yellow Jackets on Friday, Feb. 21, for West Virginia State University Day (WVSU) at the
Capitol.

West Virginia State University (WVSU) has received its sixth consecutive designation as a Tree Campus USA® from the National Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management in 2019. announced the start of a privately-funded $500,000 synthetic turf project. The project will
include new turf surfaces for the infield of Calvin L. Bailey Field and the outfield of Lady
Jackets Field.

Author and lawyer Larry Linwell Rowe will host a book talk and signing for his new
book,
“Virginia Slavery and King Salt in Booker T. Washington’s Boyhood
Home,” at West Virginia State University (WVSU) Thursday, February 6, at 6:30 p.m.
The
event is part of WVSU’s month-long calendar of Black History Month events.

Virginia State University Board of Governors on Wednesday, Feb. 5, beginning at 4 p.m. in the
