West Virginia State University Designated a Tree Campus USA® by National Arbor Day Foundation

West Virginia State University (WVSU) has received its sixth consecutive designation as a Tree Campus USA® from the National Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management in 2019. The University plans to build upon the designation by launching a campus arboretum later this year.

New Book Chronicles History of Booker T. Washington’s Boyhood Home

Author and lawyer Larry Linwell Rowe will host a book talk and signing for his new
book,
“Virginia Slavery and King Salt in Booker T. Washington’s Boyhood
Home,” at West Virginia State University (WVSU) Thursday, February 6, at 6:30 p.m.
The
event is part of WVSU’s month-long calendar of Black History Month events.
