Upon attending an institution, many students wonder what the campus will be like. What is the culture? Will I actually meet people? Are there fun things to do? The answer is that you will love State. It will quickly become your home away from home (even if home is just a few minutes away).

Student Life and Engagement also offers many things for students to participate in. Whether it is working out in our fitness center showing your school pride, participating in a forum, or joining one of the more than 50 clubs and organizations; students are encouraged to get involved. Our goal is to help you learn while having fun. Studies show that the most successful students are engaged both in and out of the classroom. At State, we encourage you to take advantage of leadership, service, and student engagement opportunities. Run for student government, host a charitable event, participate in an intramural sport, or become a member of the Jackets Activities (JABs) Street Team. Any of these activities, along with many others, will connect you with fellow students, faculty, and staff.

There are so many diverse programs and activities offered that there is something for every Yellow Jacket. Make State your home. Get involved. Find your passion!
