The housing contract is a legally binding agreement between the resident and West Virginia State University and the Board of Governors that secures a living space. The housing contract:
- Defines the terms and conditions of occupancy
- Refers to specific sections of the Student Code of Conduct and the student handbook
By executing your contract online, you are agreeing to the terms of the housing contract and making a commitment to live on campus and to pay rates for the fall and spring semesters and, in some cases, summer semester.
Failure to properly terminate a housing contract could result in fees or flags on your student account, which could impact your ability to register for classes or receive a copy of your transcript following graduation.
Proper planning and review of your contract will help ensure that you are comfortable with your living space and understand the terms of occupancy. As always, if you have any questions about the contract, please feel free to contact University Housing at 304-766-5707 or reslife@wvstateu.edu.
