📖Why did you pick WVSU and your major?

“I first chose WVSU because I was recruited to play volleyball, but then I visited campus and fell in love with it. Campus really felt like home, and I have met so many amazing people here. I may be far from home, but I’m glad I chose WVSU.”

🌎What other activities/organizations do you participate in at WVSU?

“I am a member of the volleyball team, and I also had the opportunity to become an 1890 Scholar. Outside of school, I also coach a 13U travel volleyball team for the Mountain Monsters Volleyball Club. On top of all that, I am a barista at Starbucks on campus!”

🐝Do you have a favorite memory or achievement during your time at WVSU?

“My favorite achievement at WVSU was making both the Presidents List and Honors List all while keeping my schedule jam-packed! My favorite memory at WVSU has been making all my friends that I have here, both local and international students. I just love watching them thrive and compete for the Yellow Jacket’s, no matter what sport!”

🖤💛If you could give advice to any prospective student, what would it be?

“Create schedules and a to-do list. Don’t just guess what you have going on, mark it off as you go! Create deadlines for assignments before they are due, don’t wait until the day they are due to begin the work. Think about your long term goals and how you might use your major in the future!”
