INSTITUTE, W.Va. – Immediate admission decisions will be available for students interested in transferring to West Virginia State University (WVSU) for the Fall 2013 semester during two upcoming Transfer On-the-Spot Decision Evenings.
Designed specifically for transfer students wanting to continue their education at WVSU the events will take place Monday, Aug. 5, and Monday, Aug. 12. Both On-the-Spot Decision Evenings will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and take place in the Admissions Office in Ferrell Hall on WVSU’s Institute campus.
Applications that are completed will be reviewed by WVSU admissions staff and decisions will be provided individually throughout the event. For those attending either event the normal admission fee will be waived.
“This is an opportunity for transfer students to come to campus and get everything done at one time,” said Amanda Anderson, interim director of admissions. “Our goal is to make it as convenient as possible for transfer students to take that next step to completing their degree at West Virginia State.”
To receive an on-the-spot decision, students must complete a WVSU application for admission and bring their transcripts from other colleges they have attended. If a student has completed less than 30 hours at the college level then they will also need to bring their high school transcripts.
Fall 2013 semester classes begin at WVSU on Monday, Aug. 19. For more information about Transfer On-the-Spot Decision Evenings, or to register online, go to or call (304) 204-4345 or (800) 987-2112 or e-mail .
