WVSU Professor to Present at Strengthening Families in West Virginia Conference

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – Dr. Jenelle N. Robinson, assistant professor and Health Sciences program director at West Virginia State University (WVSU), will present two sessions at the upcoming 2013 Strengthening Families in West Virginia conference Friday, Sept. 6, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Charleston Town Center Marriott.
Robinson will present “The Kids Gotta Eat Too: Eight Ways to Improve Your Child’s Eating Habits” and “OutSmarting Obesity: The Top 10 Weight Loss Solutions.”
The conference is sponsored by the Kanawha Institute for Social Research & Action Inc. (KISRA), with the theme of “Empowering Fathers and Families for the Future.” The conference is designed to be an informative event where individuals can learn more about strengthening and sustaining families in the community.
“I am excited to be a part of such a huge endeavor to impact families in West Virginia,” Robinson said. “The sessions I provide at the conference will contribute to making healthier families and communities for the state.”
Other sessions at the conference focus on drug trends, health insurance coverage, ADHD, community organizing, community development and Cook to Live. Food Network Chef Jeff Henderson is providing the keynote speech.
