WVSU President Anthony L. Jenkins to be Honored by West Virginia Kids Count

INSTITUTE, W.Va. — West Virginia State University (WVSU) President Dr. Anthony L. Jenkins will be honored by West Virginia Kids Count at the State of West Virginia’s Kids Summit Awards Luncheon, Tuesday, Oct. 1, beginning at noon at Edgewood Country Club.
President Jenkins will be honored with the Education Champion of Children Award. He is one of four community leaders being recognized with Champion of Children awards along with Tom Heywood, Ellen Bullock and Dr. Stefan Maxwell.
In addition to the awards, the Kids Summit will also feature an introduction of West Virginia’s Child Well-being Scorecard, and a premiere of “Every Kids Counts in West Virginia” call to action.

West Virginia Kids Count is a private, nonprofit, non-partisan organization that has championed the needs of kids and families in West Virginia for more than 30 years.
