WVSU Offering Free Health Professionals Course to High School Students

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – High school juniors and seniors in West Virginia with an interest in health care have the opportunity to enroll in a free college course this summer through West Virginia State University (WVSU).
The Health Professionals Scholars course will provide high school students further education regarding various health professionals in rural and underserved communities. This four-week asynchronous online program will use interdisciplinary involvement to stimulate student interest in health care professions and provide students with college preparatory assistance. The course will introduce topics regarding career and college preparation.
The course begins Monday, June 20, and lasts through Friday, July 15. Only 30 spots are available for the class.
