ALUM CREEK, W.Va.— West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service invites the community to join a free, hands-on “Pruning for Beginners” workshop designed for anyone interested in learning the basics of tree care. The event will be held on Thursday, March 14, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Claudia L. Workman Wildlife Education Center in Alum Creek.
Participants will learn essential skills, including why, when and how to prune shade trees, while gaining practical experience during an outdoor, hands-on session. Attendees are encouraged to dress for outdoor activities. Each participant will receive complementary hand pruners and eye protection to take home.
