WVSU Extension Service to Discuss Hide Tanning at Virtual ‘Ag Talk Tuesday’ September 14

Contact: Jack Bailey (304) 766-4109 jbaile19@wvstateu.edu INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service’s monthly Ag Talk Tuesday series continues Tuesday, September 14, at 6 p.m. EST with a discussion on hide tanning.
WVSU Extension Service will be joined by Dr. Annette Ericksen, owner of Twin Maples Farm in Milton, West Virginia, who will elaborate on hide processing for value-added products with small ruminants – livestock such as sheep and goats – and beyond.
“We will utilize natural processes to create leather for a variety of end products,” said Ericksen.
The free Ag Talk Tuesday series began last year and takes place the second Tuesday of each month. Participants register to join the live event and can submit questions ahead of time through the and platforms or via email.
