INSTITUTE, W.Va. — West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension 4-H Educator Tiffany Ward has been elected as the 1890 board representative for the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals (NAE4-HYDP).
This achievement honors Ward and WVSU Extension Service’s 4-H program and marks a significant milestone as she is the first board member elected to this position.
“Tiffany’s election as a board member is beneficial not just for WVSU Extension, but for all 1890 4-H Youth Development programs,” said WVSU Extension 4-H Program Leader Sara Price. “Her dedication to education and passion for youth empowerment make her an excellent representative who will effectively advocate for the 1890s community.”
Ward’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place during the week of October 14 at the upcoming NAE4-HYDP conference in Boise, Idaho.
“I aim to demonstrate that self-belief can overcome any obstacle, regardless of your background or education,” Ward said. “I am dedicated to effectively representing West Virginia and our beloved HBCU on the national stage, where our voices are rarely heard.”
Ward’s election highlights her leadership and expertise in 4-H Youth Development.
