Photographers Ron Gaskins and Amanda Haddox of Mountaineer Photo Excursions will describe 13 unfortunate mistakes many photographers repeat and ways to correct them, in order to provide a better success rate for stunning photos with less headaches and stress.
“Part of enjoying photography is striving to improve yourself and your work,” Gaskins said. “You don’t necessarily need to spend lots of money on gear when correcting a few bad habits can improve your photography.”
The Creators Program launched in 2012 as a series of community workshops focusing on skills and knowledge essential to creating for mass media and art. The EDC partners with WVSU Cultural Activities on the series. Workshops are designed for people of all skill levels, including students and others interested in expanding their creative endeavors.
“13 Mistakes Photographers Make and How to Stop” is free to attend. Space is limited, and registration is required. To register, visit or call (304) 720-1401.
The WVSU EDC is located at 1506 Kanawha Blvd. W. in Charleston.
