West Virginia State University Online Criminal Justice Program Recognized Nationally

INSTITUTE, W.Va. — West Virginia State University’s (WVSU) online bachelor’s degree in criminal justice has been recognized as one of the most affordable online criminal justice programs in the country by TheBestSchools.org.
WVSU’s criminal justice program was ranked No. 4 in the country among online programs based on factors including academic excellence, faculty, reputation, financial aid and strength of online instruction methodology.

Students in WVSU’s online program gain in-depth knowledge of the criminal justice system and its role in society. The curriculum aligns with the standards of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. Students take general education courses in the arts, humanities and sciences before beginning the 51 major credit hours.
Topics of study include police and society, criminal law, victimology, juvenile justice, punishment and corrections, and ethics in criminal justice. Students use 18 elective hours to concentrate in an area of interest, such as law enforcement, investigations or corrections.
