Contact: Jack Bailey (304) 766-4109 jbaile19@wvstateu.edu INSTITUTE, W.Va. -West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will host a pumpkin-carving workshop Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 7 p.m. on the WVSU campus in Institute.
“We are celebrating fall with this fun and educational workshop the entire family can enjoy,” said Dr. Annette Ericksen, assistant program director for agriculture and natural resources with WVSU Extension Service.
The workshop costs $10 to attend and will include instruction on carving techniques, as well as fall-themed snacks and music. All materials will be provided.
Proceeds from the workshop will support the 2019 West Virginia Urban Agriculture Conference and Community Expo, an annual event to be held on the WVSU campus next spring.
The pumpkin-carving workshop will be held at the Curtis Complex parking lot, along Barron Drive on campus. Registration is required. To learn more and register, visit .
