West Virginia State University Extension Service Sponsoring Garlic Workshop July 9

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will be sponsoring a free, hands-on garlic harvesting workshop on Saturday, July 9, beginning at 9 a.m. at Hudson Farms in Charleston.
The workshop is designed for farmers, gardeners or anyone interested in learning more about how to grow garlic.
“As a group we will discuss the best practices for growing, harvesting and storing garlic, as well as area specific variety selection, and most importantly, we will harvest and hang some garlic,” said WVSU Extension Agent Caroline Copenhaver.
Hudson Farms is located at 69 Silo St. in Charleston.
The workshop is free to attend and made possible by the USDA 2501 Grant Program.
