Contact: Jack Bailey (304) 766-4109 jbaile19@wvstateu.edu INSTITUTE, W.Va. -West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will host a free workshop on shitake mushroom cultivation and inoculation Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
“This workshop will provide a great hands-on learning opportunity for anyone from backyard hobbyists to entrepreneurs looking to grow and harvest their own mushrooms,” said WVSU Extension Agent Dina Hornbaker.
Attendees will receive instruction on mushroom inoculation on logs, and will receive a log to take home.
The event will take place at Shelter No. 4 at Valley Park, located along Valley Park Drive in Hurricane.
