The event is a partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the West Virginia National Guard Patriot Guardens Program.
Led by West Virginia AgrAbility Program Specialist Inetta Fluharty, the one-hour session will highlight modifications of equipment and how assistive technology enables farmers to remain actively engaged in the agri-business of their choice while decreasing the risk for secondary injuries.
“Join us to learn how West Virginia AgrAbility assists farmers who have physical or cognitive limitations can find ways to overcome new and unfamiliar barriers, allowing them to continue their chosen agriculture-related profession,” said Fluharty.
Registration is required by contacting WVSU Extension Agent Kristie Martin at (804) 482-0178 or kristie.martin@wvstateu.edu or visiting wvstateu.edu/extension. Registration is open through Sunday, Feb. 10.
The West Virginia National Guard Armory is located at 1703 Coonskin Drive, Charleston.
