Financial Aid Workshop Set for Sunday, Jan. 22, at West Virginia State University

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host a free financial aid workshop on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other forms.
Sponsored by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, and the College Foundation of West Virginia the workshop will take place in Wallace Hall, Room 222. It is open to any student, regardless of whether they plan to attend WVSU.
Financial aid experts will be on hand to walk students and families, step-by-step, through completing the FAFSA.
Anyone who is planning to pursue some form of education and training beyond high school within the next year should complete the FAFSA. That includes high school seniors, current college students and adults thinking about earning a degree or skill certificate.
To complete the FAFSA onsite Sunday, students and families should bring a driver’s license, both the student’s and parents’ social security numbers, 2015 tax records, 2015 untaxed income records, information about investments, and bank account balances.
