INSTITUTE, W.Va. – Mark Kelley has been appointed to serve on the West Virginia State University (WVSU) Board of Governors effective immediately.
Kelley is a member of the law firm of Ray, Winton and Kelley, PLLC. His appointment to fill an unexpired term on the board will end June 30, 2017.
Kelley is a 1988 graduate of West Virginia State University and a 1991 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law. While at State, he served in a variety of organizations, including as president of the Student Government Association. In law school, Kelley served as manuscript editor of the West Virginia Law Review.
Since graduation from WVSU, Kelley has maintained close ties to the school including serving as chair of the WVSU Foundation.
Throughout his legal career, Kelley has practiced in a variety of areas, but concentrates mainly in domestic relations, commercial litigation and estate litigation.
He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, the West Virginia Association of Justice and the Family Law Committee for the State Bar.
Established in July 2001, the Board of Governors provides oversight to WVSU on policy issues and affairs.
