Career and Employment Expo Set for April 16 at West Virginia State University

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host its annual Career and Employment Expo on Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the James C. Wilson University Union.
The event is free and open to all job seekers including WVSU students, graduates and the general public.
“Local businesses, state and federal agencies will be looking for candidates to fill full-time, part-time, summer and internship positions,” said Sandy Maharaj, Director of the WVSU Office of Career Services and Co-operative Education. “The Expo is an opportunity for both job seekers as well as students who are not looking for a job but who are gathering information about their future job/career options. The event is open to the public and it is a tremendous networking opportunity for all.”
More than 80 recruiters from approximately 50 businesses representing a broad spectrum of career fields including government, finance, human services, law enforcement, communications, technology, sales/marketing, retail/merchandising, operations and health care are expected to participate.
Among the businesses scheduled to attend are the U.S. Department of State, W.Va. Division of Personnel, CAMC, MRC Global, LM Communications and many more.
