INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) is holding a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Monday, November 8, as part of the third annual Blood Drive Battle with the University of Charleston.
The Blood Drive Battle is a friendly competition to see which school can get the most participants to donate blood.
WVSU students, faculty and staff are encouraged to give blood between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on November 8 in the Wilson University Union. All who donate blood will receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last featuring the logos of both WVSU and UC.
Appointments to give blood can be made at RedCrossBlood.org or on the Blood Donor App by entering the sponsor keyword “WVSU.”
UC will be hosting blood drives on their campus November 10-11. The winner of the Blood Drive Battle will be announced at halftime of the WVSU vs. UC football game on Saturday, November 13.
