The Upward Bound program at West Virginia State University depends upon the quality of its part-time teaching and tutoring staff to provide instruction, academic support, and guidance to program participants during the summer and academic year programs.

Upward Bound is now accepting applications for part-time instructor positions in English, Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy, Computer Science and Mathematics. The instructor is responsible for teaching one to two sections of a test-preparation course during the spring after school program for college-bound high school students.  Classes are taught online or on the WVSU campus weekly.
 
Educational Requirements: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in education, and/or related field with certification and/or teaching experience in appropriate content areas.

Compensation: $25 per instructional hour.
