RESEARCH INTERESTS

Soil and water quality; mine reclamation; runoff and stormwater management; biochar for environmental use and applications; spent material and waste management; engineered soils; natural resources management.

Our research aimed at understanding the underlying biogeochemical processes that govern disturbed and natural systems to enable the development of beneficial and environmentally sound use of potential resources, the development of best management practices to mitigate adverse impacts and restoration of ecosystem services.
