Statement of Policy:
Incoming first time, first year students who have earned college credit hours through dual credit courses may be eligible to receive West Virginia State University’s Dual Credit Scholarship. This is a renewable scholarship and students may receive the awards for a total for 4 consecutive years (eight semesters).
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Undergraduate, Degree-Seeking Student
- All Admissions documentation submitted by August 1st
- Enrolled full time (12+ credit hours) in WVSU credit hours
- FAFSA completed and signed with out school code by August 1st
- Minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.0
- Minimum college cumulative GPA of 2.5
Award Criteria
- Students who have earned 8 credit hours or less – $1000 annual scholarship
- Students who have earned 9+ credit hours – $2200 Annual Scholarship
The Dual Credit Scholarship is renewed annually and does not include summer semesters. Student’s must meet all renewal requirements to remain eligible.
